Angling expert Ray Halter of The Rodmakers Shoppe in Strongsville has Joe Thomas and D’Arcy Egan reeling ‘em in and putting ‘em on ice. D’Arcy Egan gets some streamside fly-tying tips from Orvis fly tier of the Year Greg Senyo, who owns the Jag Fly Company. D’Arcy, Laura and Joe also visit Craig Lewis at Erie Outfitters in Sheffield Lake OH to be sure they have all of their licenses and permits for Ohio’s outdoor fun.

Show #6 RODMAKER’S SHOPPE EXPERT PUTS JOE, D’ARCY ON LUNKER LARGEMOUTH BASS Trophy-sized largemouth bass are the quarry as D’Arcy Egan and Joe Thomas join local bass fishing legend Ray Halter of The Rodmakers Shoppe in Strongsville on private waters in Ashtabula County. Ray Halter has Joe pitching and flipping the latest bass lures, and catching his share of big bass. Learn some hot new bass fishing techniques, and look out for a couple of lunkers that steal the show.

Show #7 LARGEMOUTH BASS AT THE MENTOR LAGOONS WITH PRO BASS ANGLER FRANK SCALISH Pro tournament angler Frank Scalish takes Joe Thomas and D’Arcy Egan to the Mentor Lagoons, a Lake Erie tributary, to show the guys how to catch dandy spawning largemouth bass while pitching bass jigs. Everyone gets in on the action and Joe entertains Frank and D’Arcy with his NFL techniques for setting the hook on a big bass.

Show #8 BUILDING THE ‘OUTDOORS OHIO’ BOAT INTO A VERSATILE FISHING MACHINE The Outdoors Ohio fishing boat is created at Cranberry Creek Marina in Huron. Owner Bob Hanko and service manager Tim Kelley bring together all of the components to turn an 18-foot Starcraft Fisherman into an angling machine for D’Arcy and Laura Egan and Joe Thomas. The fuel-efficient craft will ferry the Outdoors Ohio gang in comfort to big water and inland lake fishing holes throughout the summer and fall fishing seasons.

Show #9 JOINING BROWNS’ HANK FRALEY FOR A LAKE ERIE WALLEYE FISHING TRIP D’Arcy Egan and Joe Thomas join Cleveland Browns center Hank Fraley for a day of Lake Erie walleye fishing from Fraley’s home port in Lorain, Ohio. A dedicated saltwater angler, Fraley’s 34-foot Pursuit is a great boat for the freshwater walleye and yellow perch fishing found on Lake Erie – and for going extra fast to each walleye hot spot. D’Arcy visits Lake Shawn in Belmont County with noted Strongsville fly fisherman Jerry Darkes for some wild "wiper" fishing, catching lots of the striped bass-white bass hybrid game fish, as well as trophy bluegills and big largemouth bass.

Show #10 TOURNAMENT TIME FOR JOE, D’ARCY IN LAKE EVANS UNITED WAY BASS EVENT It’s bass tournament time for Joe Thomas and D’Arcy Egan, as they challenge local fishermen and visiting pro anglers in the O’Charley’s Bass Classic on Evans Lake in Mahoning County, a United Way benefit event. Thomas has big fish honors on the Outdoors Ohio squad, and the guys entertain the crowd at the tournament weigh-in. D’Arcy gets an up-close look at an eagle as he joins an Ohio Division of Wildlife crew that is banding a young bird plucked from its nest at Tinkers Creek Stae Park in Streetsboro, Ohio.

Show #11 ROCK BASS AT THE ROCK HALL WITH PRO BASS ANGLER FRANK SCALISH Joe Thomas enjoys a different look at Browns Stadium in Cleveland, where he earned All-Pro honors in his first NFL season. Joe and D’Arcy Egan join tournament bass fisherman Frank Scalish of Cleveland Heights to catch lots of trophy rock bass along the Cleveland Harbor shoreline, including The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and hook a few largemouth bass, as well.
