For just about a collective quarter of a century D'Arcy Egan has been entertaining and informing outdoorsmen with a succession of great radio shows.

Though he has retired from his most recent show, "Inside the Great Outdoors" broadcast on WKNR 850 AM in Cleveland, his love of the medium may someday coax him back to the airwaves.

In creating the "Inside the Great Outdoors" radio show D'Arcy focused on the fun to be had in the outdoors, he also kept listeners on top of every issue important to sportsmen.

Here's D'Arcy with good friends Ray Davis (left) and Pat Dailey (right).Pat's a singing/songwriting legend around here usually found in the summer at Put-In-Bay. He's also a heck of a fisherman.

Ray and D'Arcy go way back on the radio waves. From 1986-96 Ray and D'Arcy hosted a syndicated show called "All Outdoors" on WWWE and other stations.

D'Arcy's radio career goes back even farther than that! From 1983-85 he was live on WJW. From 1980-83 it was WWWE.

"Gotta love this job!"
Live or pre-recorded, D'Arcy does great radio!

For more than six years, Sunday mornings for thousands of Ohio sportsmen meant tuning in to hear, and speak with, D'Arcy.

Laura Brown Egan, D'Arcy's wife and an avid outdoors(wo)man, often joined in the banter.

Here's D'Arcy with Mark Zukowski of Concord, Ohio.

Outdoor journalism demands some really tough field research!
